Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using StudySolutions. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to StudySolutions. These Terms of Service (“Terms”, “Agreement”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”, “you”, or “your”) and StudySolutions (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) governing your access to and use of the StudySolutions website, applications, and services (collectively, the “Services”).

By creating an account, accessing, or using any part of our Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use our Services.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Services following the posting of revised Terms means that you accept and agree to the changes. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically for any updates.

2. Description of Services

StudySolutions is a subscription-based Software as a Service (SaaS) platform that provides AI-powered academic assistance tools designed to help students and academics with their educational endeavors. Our Services include, but are not limited to:

2.1 AI Content Humanization

Our AI Humanizer tool processes text content to make it appear more naturally written. This service includes text analysis, content transformation, and AI detection scoring to help users understand how their content may be perceived by various detection systems.

2.2 Plagiarism Detection

We provide plagiarism detection services through integration with third-party APIs, including Turnitin-compatible scanning. Users can submit documents to check for potential similarities with existing content in academic databases.

2.3 Document Unlocking

Our document unlocking service allows users to access educational content from various supported platforms. This feature is intended to help users access study materials and educational resources for legitimate learning purposes.

The availability, features, and functionality of our Services may vary depending on your subscription tier and are subject to change without prior notice.

3. Eligibility & Account Requirements

3.1 Age Requirements

You must be at least 13 years of age to use our Services. If you are between 13 and 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), you may only use our Services with the consent of your parent or legal guardian. By using our Services, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

3.2 Account Registration

To access certain features of our Services, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information to keep it accurate and complete
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your account credentials
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

3.3 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for restricting access to your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that we believe have been compromised.

4. User Obligations & Acceptable Use

4.1 Compliance with Laws

You agree to use our Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Services complies with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations.

4.2 Academic Integrity

While our Services provide academic assistance tools, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • You are solely responsible for how you use the output from our Services
  • Our Services are intended to assist with learning, not to replace genuine academic effort
  • You must comply with your educational institution's academic integrity policies
  • Misuse of our Services to commit academic fraud is prohibited and may result in account termination
  • We encourage the ethical use of our tools as learning aids, not as substitutes for original work

4.3 Responsible Use

You agree to use our Services responsibly and in a manner that does not:

  • Violate any applicable laws, regulations, or third-party rights
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Services or servers connected to the Services
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Services
  • Use automated systems or software to extract data from the Services
  • Transmit any viruses, malware, or other harmful code

5. Prohibited Activities

You expressly agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

5.1 Academic Dishonesty

  • Submitting AI-generated or humanized content as entirely your own original work without disclosure
  • Using our Services to plagiarize, copy, or misrepresent the work of others
  • Circumventing academic integrity systems in violation of institutional policies
  • Using our Services for examinations, tests, or assessments where prohibited

5.2 Service Abuse

  • Sharing your account credentials with others or allowing unauthorized account access
  • Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or restrictions
  • Reselling, sublicensing, or commercially redistributing our Services without authorization
  • Reverse engineering, decompiling, or attempting to extract source code from our Services
  • Using bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with our Services

5.3 Harmful Content

  • Uploading or processing content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, or harassing
  • Processing content that infringes upon intellectual property rights of third parties
  • Submitting content containing malware, viruses, or other malicious code
  • Using our Services to generate or distribute spam or phishing content

Notice: Violation of these prohibited activities may result in immediate account suspension or termination, forfeiture of subscription fees, and potential legal action.

6. Subscription & Payment Terms

6.1 Subscription Tiers

StudySolutions offers the following subscription options:

Basic (Free)

Limited lifetime access with restricted usage allowances. Includes 1 Turnitin check, 500 words of humanization, 1 premium document unlock, and 5 free document unlocks total.

Premium ($9.99/month)

Monthly subscription with 30 Turnitin checks, 10,000 words of humanization (2,500 per request), and 20 daily premium document unlocks.

Premium+ ($19.99/month)

Enhanced monthly subscription with 100 Turnitin checks, 100,000 words of humanization (10,000 per request), and 50 daily premium document unlocks.

6.2 Billing & Payment

Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly basis. Payment is processed through our third-party payment processor (Stripe). By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method for all applicable fees.

  • All prices are listed in US Dollars unless otherwise specified
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
  • You are responsible for any applicable taxes
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice

6.3 Cancellation & Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Upon cancellation:

  • Your subscription will remain active until the end of the current billing period
  • You will not be charged for subsequent billing periods
  • No prorated refunds are provided for partial billing periods
  • Unused usage allowances do not carry over and are forfeited upon expiration

Refund requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis within 7 days of purchase. Please refer to our Refund Policy for more details.

6.4 Free Trials

We may offer free trials for premium subscriptions at our discretion. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid subscription and you will be charged the applicable subscription fee.

7. Intellectual Property Rights

7.1 Our Intellectual Property

The Services, including all content, features, and functionality (including but not limited to all information, software, text, displays, images, video, and audio, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof), are owned by StudySolutions, its licensors, or other providers of such material and are protected by copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

The StudySolutions name, logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of StudySolutions or its affiliates. You may not use such marks without our prior written permission.

7.2 Limited License

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your personal, non-commercial use. This license does not include:

  • The right to modify, copy, or create derivative works of the Services
  • Any resale or commercial use of the Services or their contents
  • The right to download or copy account information for others' benefit
  • Any use of data mining, robots, or similar data gathering tools

7.3 Third-Party Content

Our Services may integrate with or access content from third-party services. We do not claim ownership over any third-party content, and such content remains the property of its respective owners. Your use of third-party content is subject to the terms and policies of those third parties.

8. User Content

8.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit, upload, or process through our Services (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, process, and store your content solely for the purpose of providing our Services to you.

8.2 Content Responsibilities

You represent and warrant that:

  • You own or have the necessary rights to use and authorize the use of your User Content
  • Your User Content does not violate the privacy rights, publicity rights, copyrights, or other rights of any person or entity
  • Your User Content complies with these Terms and all applicable laws

8.3 Data Retention

We may retain certain User Content for a limited period to provide our Services and for legal compliance purposes. Processed content may be cached temporarily to improve service performance. You may request deletion of your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Important Legal Notice

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS, WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR COURSE OF PERFORMANCE.

StudySolutions does not warrant that:

  • The Services will function uninterrupted, secure, or available at any particular time or location
  • Any errors or defects will be corrected
  • The Services are free of viruses or other harmful components
  • The results of using the Services will meet your requirements or expectations
  • Content processed through our AI tools will be undetectable by any detection system
  • Plagiarism reports will be 100% accurate or identical to those of other services

You understand and agree that you use our Services at your own risk. We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content processed through our Services.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL STUDYSOLUTIONS, ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, PARTNERS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

  • Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Services
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the Services
  • Any content obtained from the Services
  • Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content
  • Academic consequences resulting from your use of the Services
  • Actions taken by educational institutions based on their detection of modified content

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL DAMAGES, LOSSES, AND CAUSES OF ACTION EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE PAST TWELVE (12) MONTHS, OR ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless StudySolutions and its licensees, licensors, employees, contractors, agents, officers, and directors from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees) arising from:

  • Your use of and access to the Services
  • Your violation of any term of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party right, including without limitation any copyright, property, or privacy right
  • Any claim that your User Content caused damage to a third party
  • Academic misconduct allegations or proceedings arising from your use of the Services
  • Any legal action by educational institutions related to your use of the Services

This defense and indemnification obligation will survive the termination of these Terms and your use of the Services.

12. Termination & Suspension

12.1 Termination by You

You may terminate your account and these Terms at any time by discontinuing use of the Services and deleting your account through your account settings or by contacting our support team.

12.2 Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account and access to the Services, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including but not limited to:

  • Breach of these Terms
  • Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
  • Non-payment of applicable fees
  • Conduct that we determine is harmful to other users, third parties, or our business
  • Extended periods of inactivity

12.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the Services will immediately cease
  • We may delete your account and all associated data
  • You will not be entitled to any refund of subscription fees
  • Any provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive will survive termination

13. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect by:

  • Posting a notice on our website
  • Sending an email to the address associated with your account
  • Displaying a notice within the Services

What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion. By continuing to access or use our Services after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you must stop using the Services.

We may also make changes to the Services themselves, including adding or removing features, changing pricing, or discontinuing certain services. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes when possible.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

14.1 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

14.2 Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or the Services will be resolved through the following process:

  • Informal Resolution: We encourage you to contact us first to seek an informal resolution to any dispute.
  • Mediation: If informal resolution fails, either party may initiate non-binding mediation.
  • Arbitration: Disputes not resolved through mediation shall be finally resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

14.3 Class Action Waiver

YOU AND STUDYSOLUTIONS AGREE THAT EACH MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN YOUR OR ITS INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING.

14.4 Limitation on Claims

Any cause of action or claim you may have arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services must be commenced within one (1) year after the cause of action accrues; otherwise, such cause of action or claim is permanently barred.
